A mole, yes, with a hard hat and a pot of something in his hands, has
lived in our garden for some time. Why? Because Sue put him there.
Years ago. Several things appeared over a very long time, including a
miniature (whew) gnome, a bee and most recently a poppy. A poppy for
remembrance.
And why did she put them there? Simply for fun! Because they amused her
and she knew they’d make us smile too. And they always did, and
still do. And that was Sue, wasn’t it? She was witty and fun to be
with, though sometimes it took a minute or two to catch on when she
was joking.
She was also kind, caring and thoughtful, more interested in caring about
others than herself. She was a proud mum and granny and a good friend to many. She was a talented musician, a brilliant cook, a flower arranger, a Christian Aid organiser, a FIND
supporter, a quilter, and much more. She was quiet and humble about
all she did.
We’re going to miss Sue, her sense of fun, her surprises, her cooking, her
friendship, her warmth, her love.
May she rest in peace with the God she believed in.
